MAGAZINE DESIGN
Using the article “The Surprising Ascent of Kaws” by the New York Times. I have found a connection to Brian Donnelly’s work, so I was very passionate about this project. The tools I used were adobe Illustrator and adobe Indesign.
INSPIRATION
Researched layouts and grid styles of typical magazine companies. Recognizing and learning the column spacing and typography. Found these magazines covers inspiring and I wanted to incorporate similar layouts within my magazine designs.
SKETCH
Tested out different heading designs. I focused on incorporating some classic KAWS elements in my designs to make a cohesive and unique magazine.
TYPE STUDY
Testing different typography to fit the header of the cover and the spreads.
